AI Toys Photography for Poshmark
Transform your toys photos into Poshmark-ready product images. Professional backgrounds, perfect lighting, and marketplace-compliant quality.
Toys sit awkwardly inside Poshmark's fashion-shaped interface. The app was built for flat lays and hangers, so every listing photo gets squeezed into a 1:1 square and shown at thumbnail size in a scrolling feed of clothing. A 20-inch Squishmallow, a boxed Barbie, a 60-piece Melissa & Doug set and a Funko Pop all have to survive that same square crop, and none of them are shaped like a folded sweater.
The second issue is trust. Poshmark buyers shopping toys are usually parents or resellers who cannot ask a clerk whether the pieces are all there. They zoom. They look for the sun-faded side of the plush, the missing shoe, the corrosion in the battery bay, the date code that tells them the item is not on a recall list. Your photo set has to answer those questions before anyone comments.
Get three things right and toys convert well here: fill the square instead of floating in it, use every photo slot to prove completeness and condition, and keep saturated plastic and dyed fur looking like the real color instead of a washed-out phone-flash version of it.

Composing Toys Inside Poshmark's Square Crop
Poshmark crops to 1:1 and the cover shot is what buyers judge from the feed, so shoot with the square in mind rather than cropping later. Tall items like fashion dolls in window boxes, ride-on toys and jumbo plush lose their impact when you center them vertically: you get a thin item with dead space on both sides. Turn them slightly diagonal across the frame, or shoot from a low three-quarter angle so the box front and side both read. Wide items like train sets and playmats do the opposite, so stack or partially fold them into a squarer footprint for the cover and save the full spread for a later slot.
Shoot a little wider than you need. Poshmark's in-app crop is tight and unforgiving, and once you lose a doll's foot or the top of a box flap you cannot get it back without reshooting. Fill roughly 85 to 90 percent of the square with the toy on a plain light background so the thumbnail still reads at phone size.
Using All 16 Slots to Prove Completeness
Current versions of the Poshmark app allow up to 16 photos, and toys need more of them than clothing does. A good sequence: hero shot, straight-on front, back, a flat lay of every single accessory arranged in a grid, tag or nameplate, size reference, then close-ups of each flaw. For anything with a piece count, lay the parts out in countable rows so buyers can verify against the box art. For dolls, shoot the hair from the back, the neck and hip joints, and the feet, since missing shoes and chopped hair are the top complaints.
Photograph the molded date code, model number or set number too. Buyers and Poshmark both care that recalled toys stay off the platform, and a legible model number lets a cautious parent check for themselves. Battery-powered toys should show the open compartment, clean and corrosion-free, in its own slot.
