AI Pet Products Photography for Amazon
Transform your pet products photos into Amazon-ready product images. Professional backgrounds, perfect lighting, and marketplace-compliant quality.
Pet products are one of the trickiest categories to shoot for Amazon because the thing that sells them, a happy dog or cat using the item, is exactly what Amazon will not allow in your main image. Your first frame has to sell a nylon harness, a stainless bowl, or a fleece bed with no animal, no hands, no props, and no text, on a pure white background. Everything emotional has to move to images two through seven.
The second problem is physical. Pet gear is full of the materials that fight white backgrounds: white sherpa fur, black mesh carriers, chrome tags, clear acrylic feeders, and rubber chew toys that swallow light. Add scale ambiguity, since a buyer cannot tell a 6 inch chew from a 12 inch chew on a phone screen, and you get the two biggest sources of returns in this category: wrong size and wrong color.
Get three things right and the rest is polish: a compliant, clean, edge-defined main image at 1600px or larger, a size and fit sequence that survives thumbnail cropping, and color that matches the real product under normal room light.

Perfect For
White Fur, Black Mesh, Clear Acrylic
Amazon wants pure white RGB 255,255,255 behind the main image, which is a problem when your product is a cream-colored donut bed or a white sherpa blanket. Shoot on a light gray or very pale blue sweep instead of white, keep a rim or edge light on the product, then key the background to white in post while leaving a soft contact shadow under the item. That shadow is allowed and it is often the only thing keeping a fluffy bed from looking like a blob.
Mesh carriers and screened crate panels alias badly. Stop down a little, avoid shooting the mesh perfectly parallel to the sensor, and check at 100 percent for moire before you upload, because Amazon's zoom will expose it. Clear acrylic feeders, hamster balls, and aquarium accessories need something dark behind the lens side to give edges definition, otherwise the walls vanish and the product reads as half missing.
Communicating Size Without Breaking Amazon's Rules
You cannot add a tape measure, a ruler graphic, or dimension callouts to the main image, so plan the size story across your secondary slots. A clean dimension diagram on white with arrows and inches plus centimeters is fine as image two or three. Then show the product in a lifestyle frame with an animal in the size range you actually fit, not a stock puppy on a harness rated for 60 pound dogs. Buyers read the model dog as the recommendation.
For collars, harnesses, and apparel, photograph the item flat or on a form with the adjustment range visible at full extension and full cinch. For crates, beds, and litter boxes, include a shot with the product next to a familiar room object like a doorway or sofa arm. If your listing has girth or weight bands, mirror the exact same numbers in the image as in the bullet points, or Amazon reviewers will call the sizing misleading.
