AI Supplements Photography for Amazon
Transform your supplements photos into Amazon-ready product images. Professional backgrounds, perfect lighting, and marketplace-compliant quality.
A supplement listing lives or dies on a thumbnail the size of a postage stamp. Shoppers cannot smell, taste, or shake a bottle of magnesium glycinate, so the photo set has to do three jobs at once: prove the product is real, prove the dose and count are what the title says, and satisfy Amazon's dietary supplement rules on label legibility. That last part is what separates supplements from almost every other category on the platform. A coffee mug only has to look good. A capsule bottle has to be readable.
The hard part physically is that supplement packaging is engineered to be shiny. Glossy HDPE bottles, foil-stamped labels, amber glass, shrink-wrapped neck bands, and clear PET gummy jars all throw specular highlights straight back into the lens, and Amazon's pure white main-image background gives you nowhere to hide a blown-out edge.
Get four things right and the rest is polish: a genuine 255-white background, a bottle that fills the frame without clipping, a supplement facts panel that survives Amazon's zoom, and color that matches what arrives in the box so the product is not returned as "not as described."

Killing Reflections on Glossy Supplement Bottles
A white HDPE bottle photographed on a white background will lose its own edges. Light the bottle with large diffused sources placed to the sides, then put thin black cards just outside the frame so the bottle's curved shoulders pick up a dark gradient. That reflection is what defines the silhouette before you ever clip out to pure white. Amber glass and clear gummy jars need the opposite treatment: light through the product from behind so the fill glows, and keep the front lighting weak enough that you are not photographing a lens-shaped hot spot on the plastic.
Foil and holographic labels are the worst offenders. Rotate the bottle a few degrees at a time rather than moving the lights, and shoot several frames so you can blend a clean version of the foil band. Remove shrink wrap wrinkles and dust before the shoot, not in retouching, because crushed wrap reads as a returned or expired unit.
Making the Supplement Facts Panel Zoom-Legible
Amazon expects buyers to be able to read the supplement facts, ingredient list, directions, and warnings from your images, and reviewers can suppress a listing when they cannot. Shoot the panel as its own secondary image: peel a spare label and lay it flat, or photograph the bottle dead straight-on with a longer focal length so the curve flattens out. Correct the remaining barrel with a perspective transform until the type baselines are horizontal, then check it at thumbnail size.
Do not retouch out the warning text, the serving size, or the count, and do not swap in an older label revision. The image must match the unit in the box, including net quantity and capsule count. Keep this frame at 1600 px or more on the long side so zoom stays sharp, and avoid layering marketing text over the panel, since covering required label copy is what gets flagged.
