Supplements are one of the few categories where eBay does not just recommend good photos, it effectively depends on them. eBay's health and beauty rules require dietary supplements to be sold new, factory sealed, in original packaging and unexpired, so your images are the evidence that your bottle meets those conditions. A listing that hides the safety seal, crops off the expiration date or reuses the brand's marketing render invites Item Not As Described claims, buyer questions about near-dated stock, and VeRO takedowns from the manufacturer.

At the same time supplement packaging is genuinely awkward to shoot. Glossy HDPE bottles and foil-stamped labels throw hard specular highlights, curved labels bend the Supplement Facts panel out of focus, clear gummy jars and amber glass need light passing through them, and a 60-count capsule bottle and a 5 lb protein tub look nearly identical when both fill the frame.

Get three things right and most problems disappear: a clean white main image that survives eBay's square thumbnail crop, enough resolution that the label text stays readable in eBay's zoom, and a documentation set covering seal, lot code and expiry.
