AI Jewelry Photography for Ebay
Transform your jewelry photos into Ebay-ready product images. Professional backgrounds, perfect lighting, and marketplace-compliant quality.
Jewelry is the category where eBay buyers are most suspicious, and for good reason. They cannot weigh the piece, cannot read the hallmark with a loupe, and cannot tell a rhodium-plated brass band from white gold. Every one of those doubts has to be answered by your photo set, because on eBay the photos are the inspection. Sellers who skip the mark shot or the ruler shot get message threads full of questions and, worse, returns filed as "not as described."
At the same time your gallery image is fighting for a click inside a grid of hundreds of visually identical rings and chains. eBay crops that gallery image to a square for search results, wants at least 500 pixels on the longest side, unlocks zoom at 1600 pixels, and forbids added borders, text, watermarks or promotional graphics on it. Pre-owned jewelry also cannot lean on manufacturer stock photos.
Then there is the physics. Polished metal mirrors your whole room, faceted stones go dead against white, plating wear only shows at certain angles, and a 2mm difference in band width is invisible without a reference object in frame.

Perfect For
Filling eBay's Square Crop With Tiny Pieces
eBay squeezes your first photo into a square thumbnail, so a necklace photographed hanging vertically loses its ends and a bracelet shot wide becomes a sliver with white space above and below. Shoot the gallery frame as a true 1:1 and compose for it: coil a chain into a loose spiral or figure-eight, lay a bracelet in a soft C-curve, angle a ring three-quarters so the head and the band profile both read.
Pixel budget matters more here than in almost any category. If a 6mm stone occupies a tenth of a 1600px frame, buyers zoom in on roughly 160 pixels of the thing they are actually buying. Crop tight so the piece fills most of the frame with just a small breathing margin, and export at 1600px or larger on the long side so eBay's zoom actually resolves prong tips, solder seams and facet edges instead of mush.
Hallmarks, Wear, and Not-As-Described Claims
Jewelry disputes on eBay almost always come down to metal content, stone identity, size, or undisclosed damage. Build a dedicated shot for each: a macro of the inside band or clasp tag showing 925, 14K, 750 or a maker's mark; the piece on a ruler or beside a coin for scale; the back of a setting so buyers can see whether stones are foil-backed or open; and honest close-ups of plating loss, chipped enamel, resizing marks, kinked links, or a replaced clasp.
Retouching is where sellers get burned. Cleaning a background or fixing white balance is fine, but smoothing away a scratch you disclosed in the description creates a photo that contradicts the item, and eBay tends to resolve that gap in the buyer's favor. If a piece is high-value enough to pass through eBay's authentication program, an inspector will compare the physical item to those exact images.
